Who in their right mind would want to govern a country that contained within the mindset of a significant proportion of the population folk who would find some of these funny?

And these folk think a rational, educated, middle-aged half-white dude wants the position for life? Hahaha. Thank whatever Gods you have that Obama seems to have some sense of duty: even extending to the sort of Americans who spout this kind of nonsense.

From the outside this seems so ridiculous. And it's not the POTUS that's the ridiculous part of all this, it's the levels and extent of the criticism. A right-ish moderate POTUS, a dead teenager, and a slightly overweight lass, have somehow conspired to destroy everything that is good about America. What's the common theme? I'm sure there is a word that describes the dynamic...I've got it somewhere in the back of my memory, or on the tip of my tongue...

McConnell is confident that the Republicans will be back in power. After all, he was certain Obama would be a one-termer. Though, in these YouTube comments, he does make the argument that this program is not without its checks and safeguards, though there perhaps needs to be something that makes that more open to the public, so that we can know that those checks mean something.

The main problem with the program is that it probably needed to be passed like a regular law, such as the PATRIOT Act, and the people will probably accept it too.

Have you heard the latest conspiracy theory? Obama is already positioning shock troops in America's cities in preparation for the race riots that will follow Zimmerman's acquittal -- race riots engineered by the same government-controlled media that pulled the strings to get Zimmerman charged in the first place. Obama's troops will crush the black rioters, winning the praise and support of white Americans as he uses the riots as a pretext to suspend the Constitution.

I'm not sure whose conspiracy theory this is, but it's frighteningly plausible.
