I'm sure if Obama and Putin were pals this would have all blown over, the spin machine would be in high gear from the WH to put some cover on the mistakes, and the liberals here would be chirping right along in lock step.
I don't speak for other liberals, but for myself, I have been a critic of Putin for long before his current round of gay bashing. Something about a "President" who seems intent on lifelong power, a cult of personality, murdering journalists and endless rounds of bullying/threatening neighboring countries who dare think they aren't actually part of Russia anymore made me sour on him years earlier.
Which makes one wonder which of these characteristics 404 so admires. Is it the homophobia, the corruption, the poisoning of enemies, or maybe just the shirtless horse riding photos?
