the only "reason" you have given me is that you told the same goddamned joke I"ve read about bazillion times all over the internet then insist you actually met the person. I wouldn't exactly call "insisting I was there" REASON. It is *a* reason but it's not "reason"
i.e. I don't believe there is a woman whose birth certificate says "La-a" under "first name"
Nope.
and you insisting you actually met her (based on a vague story that reads just like the same joke) doesn't convince me any more than all the other people online who insist they know someone who met her. I guess they are all talking about YOU.
Or yanno, maybe someone played a joke on Ladasha. I wonder how often women named Ladasha have to endure that stupid tired joke.
Maybe, but I believe the list of names was based on publicly accessible data from BOE.
And for one moment, assume I am telling you the truth. What sort of evidence would you expect me to provide that would alter a non-believers POV on the matter?
I mean, I'm sorry I didn't take a video of me talking with her, or a picture of the list of voters I was going to talk to...but yea, what exactly do you expect from me?
for you to tell your story a bit more believably from the beginning rather than post a comment that is nearly exactly structured like the commonplace joke currently being renewed on the internet. Since you posted it just like the joke rather than "this thing happened to me while I was doing voter registration drive door-to-door..."
Too late. Now you know how to make your joke more believable. You're welcome.
JSYK: I've done canvassing too and found some pretty interesting names on the lists I had. Of course I knew from experience that people don't always give their real names on things like that. And having also done data-entry I know from personal experience that people can write their names sloppily enough that someone transferring it will make educated guesses. Likewise having friends who do customer service, there's plenty of times they misspell a name told to them over the phone because it ultimately didn't matter how it was spelled, only how it was pronounced.
There's plenty of ways a name can be mis represented. Just so happens I've been through four different pen names myself. And my second son's name is hyphenated. Not once ever in his twenty years have I had someone attempt to pronounce his name with "the dash don't be silent"
so next time you want to perpetuate an internet myth, especially one that began as a racist poke, try making it more believable from teh beginning. Pro-tip: watch "Reservoir Dogs" and Tim Roth gets a wonderful education on how to tell a convincing story.

Pretty pathetic.
