No, I wouldn't have: I wouldn't be carrying a gun. If I were so dumbass as to be on the neighborhood watch, I would be armed with a Taser or pepper spray, y'know, something non-lethal.

'Course, I wouldn't ever have gotten out of the car either. I would have waited for the cops to get there. Unless the suspect is stepping onto my property and through my front door (or aperture of your choice), they are not a danger to me and mine.

I only engage in confrontation in times of imminent danger. Zimmerman's situation previous to confrontation was not imminent danger.
