Sorry, I know we're not allowed to say anything bad about Democrats in this community. Just have to break up the self-righteous clusterfuck every now and then.
Ah yes...because that compared to the 192 promises kept (http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/rulings/promise-kept/) and the 76 he compromised on (http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/rulings/compromise/) and the 107 he has in the works (http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/rulings/in-the-works/) is pretty much...um...not important.
"If you have been our president for the last 4 years, you might have Romnesia."
Not to be nit-picky about the semantics, but technically that would be Obamnesia. However, if you post the link about Obama's failed promises which take up 5 pages; and conveniently forget to include the link to his kept promises which take up 10 pages, you might have hookemnesia.
Yeah it was obviously something he or someone had come up with beforehand that he tried to make seem spontaneous. He's not a bad president but he's a lousy actor.
I saw this written on Twitter and other sites earlier today and I thought, "eh, it's clever but probably isn't going to get him any more votes." Then I saw the video. WOW. President Obama has such poise and charisma when delivering a speech. His facial expressions, his gestures, and his tone of voice turn an otherwise cheesy pun into what just may be the most memorable line from a presidential speech since "of the people, by the people, for the people." He really has a gift.
Delibrately packing the audience behind him with only women?
Seriously. Every person behind him in that video is female. a lil much
but good line. they had to do something with Romney's name--Obamacare is a common phrase now. Make Romnesia one too--cause if you're voting for obamacare or romnesia, which sounds better
They don't favor women's pro rights, that's correct.
Los Angeles Times: Romney “Vowed To End Federal Funding Of Planned Parenthood, Which, Along With Other Services, Provides Contraceptives To Those Who Cannot Otherwise Afford Them.” “Addressing contraceptives, Romney said he and other Republicans ‘of course … recognize that people should have a right to use contraceptives. There’s absolutely no validity whatsoever to the Obama effort to try and bring that up.’ Romney has, however, vowed to end federal funding of Planned Parenthood, which, along with other services, provides contraceptives to those who cannot otherwise afford them.” [Los Angeles Times, 8/26/12 (http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-romney-defends-self-party-on-rape-abortion-and-womens-healthcare-20120826,0,6196807.story)]
Romney Endorsed The Blunt Amendment Which Would Allow Employers To “Have Free Rein To Pick And Choose Your Medical Care As He Or She Saw Fit--So If The Boss Believed That Birth Control Were An Affront To God And Nature, Well, Too Bad For You.” “And yet, just weeks after Obama announced the compromise, Senator Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) proposed legislation that would allow any employer or insurance company to decline to cover any medical care for any moral or religious reason. Under the law, your boss would have free rein to pick and choose your medical care as he or she saw fit--so if the boss believed that birth control were an affront to God and nature, well, too bad for you; you'd have to shell out the full monthly cost for your pill pack. The Blunt Amendment (which Romney endorsed) was blocked in the Senate with an extremely narrow margin--51 to 48--with Maine's Olympia Snowe (who announced around the same time that she would not be seeking reelection) the only Republican voting against it.” [Gretchen Voss, Women’s Health, September 2012 (http://www.womenshealthmag.com/health/birth-control-rights?page=3#ixzz22smS22Qi)]
