I joined this community just a few days ago because a friend told me that he read it to gain insight on what regular Americans believe politically. I am intending to vote by absentee ballot, and I was looking for some debate communities to help me reason through some political decisions and to help me make my choice in the elections.
Unfortunately probably because I am still trying to make up my mind, I am feeling a little attacked. I would prefer an actual debate community. Do you know of an more unbiased moderated one, preferably with a legion of reliable fact checkers so that I have a shot at passing my exams?
I'm sure there must be a few others, certainly more general ones rather than ones centred around cartoons. There's possibly ones focused specifically on American politics if that's what you're looking for (not being American, I've not sought them out).
Livejournal communities that are heavily modded and vetted tend to be a lot quieter though, so if you're looking for something big that is more 'serious' then it might be worth a google search for other websites.
Condemning Christianity because Terry Jones exercised his freedom of speech is not the proper response to the condemnation of Islam for its persistent effort to rid everybody of free speech.
I bet if you put up a website threatening to burn 200 bibles, the president won't call you to beg you to stop and nobody will threaten to kill you either. Nobody will accuse you of putting anybodies life at risk. I'd be willing to put money on it.

No, wait.
More of an idiot.
