Maybe he can find the one that says, "Smaller government is better government" while he's in there.

They used it to wrap up the thousand points of light they stuffed in there.

rofl.. awesome. That's where they used to have my vote, and losing FR they lost my vote.. and I guarantee I'm not the only one by a long shot.

How sadly true... now if only the Democrats were any better...

Oh, I'm sure the Democrats have their own chest of ancient artifacts.

If I had any sort of artistic talent at all, I'd draw a cartoon with an old donkey wrapped up in a blanket and sitting in a rocking chair, while a crowd of young donkeys sit around him on the floor. Above the fireplace would be a painting of JFK.

The old donkey would be saying, "Gather round, children, and listen to the story of a President who stood up to the USSR and didn't blink..."

And one of the donkey children would be whispering, "He stood up to someone? He must have been a Republican."

It's sad, but true. If the GOP loses majority in Congress, I hope they realize that abandonment of the very things they promised is the reason why.

Maybe they need to wake up and start serving the American public again.

If the GOP has essentially abandoned the fiscal responsibility and "gov't keep out" platform, then basically it's left with national security and the "moral values" crowd. If the national security type becomes disillusioned in general, then you've basically got the true believers... I wonder if the GOP could evolve into the first religious party in the US?
