Right. I mean, we at some point have to recognize that bad-faith interlocutors like Madame Nazi will use our commitment to rational discourse against us. I have spent many hours trying to have good-faith discussions with Madame Nazi, despite her frequent reliance on personal insults, goalpost-shifting, false equivalences, blatant obfuscation, etc. Bad-faith interlocutors rely on receiving this kind of undeserved respect; it allows them to peddle their nonsense while they are treated like real people.

I have no real interest in dispensing with that treatment here, to be honest; but her clear adoption of the term "Lying Press" - a term currently being used by avowed neo-Nazis to describe the media - makes her agenda too clear to ignore. She is no longer entitled to the presumption of good faith a community like this relies on.
