Trump's numbers do seem to be sliding, but it isn't exactly looking like a debacle for him yet. Maybe you know a higher class of Republicans. ;)

Funny you should mention the class bit, because I think that might apply. I know plenty of Trump supporters too, and most of them claim to come from blue collar backgrounds.

For the Johnson supporters, the GOP folk definitely separate themselves from the Trump supporters. The others were quasi libertarian to begin with, and I think this year just tipped the scales.

Well, we'll see. I have to wonder if we've gotten to the point where supporting Trump is sufficiently "politically incorrect" that people have figured out they shouldn't mention it any more, and instead say things like, "I'm voting Johnson," just to (i) avoid saying something like "I'm not voting" and (ii) burnish their conservative bona fides.

The rules have usually had a lot of 'give'. I'm inclined to think that the key is whether the poster is 'spamming' the community. If one posts this sort of macro multiple times a day, then I would hope that the mods might rectify the situation, but what is the level of frequency that makes something unacceptable is a judgment call, I guess.

I think a case can be made that this is spam by virtue that this troll never (as far as I've observed) replies to any of the comments. They post their shit and disappear, until they have sometime else to post.

Based on the above, unless someone has actually observed this person interacting with other posters, I think they should be banned.

That does bug me, too, especially when he does respond but only by adding to the original post. However, sometimes life here is very, very slow, and sometimes he helps to give it some life, and in the past, some of his posts have had an amusing note in them, albeit right-wing, though it has been a long time, it seems to me, that we have seen this.

The problem is that "just posting a nonsense conspiracy theory" is not "humour" unless there's something to laugh at. If the neo-nazi poster posting the neo-nazi propaganda was also telling jokes about the absurdity of the content, their posts would probably have gotten less flack.

It's like aGoodCartoon (http://agoodcartoon.tumblr.com/), who are genius and I love them: Posting cartoons by Zyklon Ben Garrison isn't funny. Pointing out how Garrison's incompetence presents hilarious alternate meanings that Garrison wasn't smart enough to think of when he drew them? That turns weird and stupid racist, sexist, homophobic dipshittery into Political Cartoon(tm).
