the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, Adam Sutler Donald Trump. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent.

I'm not sure which you are referring to. In the movie, there's a clear element of racism and "England First" kind of talk. Just like "America First" and it's racism.

And I'll note, you've got a bad habit of not clearly marking your statements as "This is true but I don't like it"

If I didn't know your posting history I might think you were suggesting that adding in racial seasoning would be GOOD, and *ought* to win.

I suppose I do count on a high level of reading comprehension. I'm not addressing the movie, but just taking the excerpts you have provided and making the seeming simple observation, if you add in some racism, as is being done in the context of our election and Trumpism, it just might win. No, Enders, I am not happy about that thought. I say it in a fatalistic vein. That's not so unusual, Earlier today, I came upon Michael Moore's more bleak statement:
