That semi-sentient cheeto will not actually get close to the white house.
He seemed like a threat, but he really, really isn't anymore. No money, no staff, no ground game, free fall in the polls. It's pretty close to being over. If I was not-American, I'd be watching the betting markets for best moment to drop some $$. Cuz he ain't winning.
I think that was starting to become a more generally accepted attitude, until Brexit. Although it is not directly related, there rose a shared concern that it shows that maybe anything is possible this year, so that one shouldn't be over-confident. The polls have also been getting close again, too.
Nah, the polls haven't really been that close. There's a single Rasmussen poll, which is known for inaccurate polling (biased towards GOP candidates) and the host of other polling show HRC winning small to comfortable leads. And that's nation-wide polling.
If you look at state-by-state in the actually important swing states, it's nearing a done deal.
Now, 4 months is a epoch in politics and lots can change. But I just don't see it happening, barring something seismic happening.
The electoral college favors the Dems to begin with, and Trump has more staff in NY than in OH. That's fucking stupid of him. But what else is new?
He won the GOP primary because the GOP base is vicious, vile and is where active racists find a home. That group will not carry him through a general.
Winning only white males is an ineffective strategy to win a nationwide general election.
