Actually it's Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne that make it, and I think she did it alone in the beginning. And I love the not safe for work ones dearly too. But my favorite strip - safe for everyone - is this Asterix tribute: http://oglaf.com/northerner/
Yeah, most people frown upon lighting God on fire and tossing him out of heaven... you know, all things he threatens to do to us if use no-no words... or eat shrimp... or wear a shirt made of cotton/polyester blend... or touch our peepees.
Christian apologists I've spoken to say that the crucifixion of Jesus abolished the "ceremonial laws" but kept the "moral laws" intact. I have yet to hear how they rationalise that view in light of Matthew 5:18, nor how they can tell the difference between a "ceremonial" law and a "moral law". Is making a carved image or likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth a ceremonial sin, or a moral sin?
I had to google Matthew 5:18 because I did not know it off the top of my head.
If you expand out to 17 - 19, makes it a bit more clear what he was saying:
17"Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. 18"For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19"Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.…
17 seems to be saying that all of the rest of the rules apply.
