I'm more concerned about the so called Christians mass shooters. It's at the point that I don't want to go see a movie, an elementary school or go to a college campus.
Silly cartoon - Why should I be scared of extensively vetted refugees, when all a terrorist has to do is buy a plane ticket and come here as a completely unvetted tourist?? And frankly, rabid white-supremacist fundamentalist Christian bible-thumpers scare me a lot more - and are statistically way more likely to kill me or my family (and I'm as white as wonder bread - I'm just not a fascist.)
But where is the political payoff? It seems most Americans are scared of the refugees, and if there is one thing that politicians are good at serving up, it is demagoguery. It helps, of course, that Americans tend to be rather racist. This country has a strong fascist streak.
