Seriously, don’t go on "The Daily Show." They control the format, the questions and the editing process. There is no way you can win. Your purpose is to look like an idiot on the show, and they have all the tools they need to make sure you fulfill that purpose.

Give me a break. It’s fake news people. The tragedy – as so many people have pointed out already – is that it’s often so much more critical and necessary than much of what passes for real news these days.

I like that quote. That a comedy team is giving us some of the harder news, over our apparently uncritical news media, seems to indicate a real dysfunction. But I guess the philosophy of the real news teams is that to be critical is to take sides, but in following that line, they may be taking the side of the defrauders and the hucksters.

Article about the Washington Redskins thing.
