hardblue, you mean well, so I'm just going to be straight with you. You try to be "even-handed" way too much...and it shows, because if you had done your research, you would know that statement from the League of the South is a steaming pile of bullshit.

The League of the South promotes the Lost Cause (http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Lost_Cause_of_the_South) and wants the Southern states to secede and reform the Confederacy. They openly praise slavery. It's because racist is a Communist word, and they are not Communist, so it has no validity in the English language. The members of the League of the South share commonality in membership of Stormfront, the Hammerskins, and the Ku Klux Klan. They engage in pseudohistory and denialism. Laziness, maybe. I had not heard of this group before, or not so that I could remember it. I presumed you know a bit about it, and I was going to let you do my homework (since it was your post), and confirm whether they were indeed overtly racist, or whether their philosophy might be more subtle, as I believe there are anti-American government militias that are not racists. I was ready to learn.
