Technically, I don't think 'undocumented' really fits here anyway. That term suggests a formalized method of documenting immigrants, which of course didn't exist back then.
wow! This is complete arrogance and disgrace to Native Americans. Comparing them to illegals? Really? This picture is wrong even for my nasty twisted mind.
For the purposes of this illustration, yes, although I would argue that the term "undocumented immigrant" was not a thing in 1620. Since no one was keeping track of who was where, technically all immigrants were undocumented. And since the Native Americans did not have their own immigration laws, the Pilgrims came to the New World legally.
Well, while there doesn't seem to be any genocide planned, there IS a lot of disease (and lice...is that being nit picky?) coming to the schools near us.
Seriously, while they have not put the kids in schools yet (in Ventura County) the health screening of those brought from Texas seems to be lacking quite a bit. As far as the lice, that is a seemingly on going problem (about twice a year where my grand-kids used to go to school) brought it usually (but to be fair, not always) by the children of migrant farm workers,
See now, I kinda wish I had learned stories like his in history class. they were so concerned with dates and things that they glossed over enjoyable stories of actual people living their lives. Probably one of the reasons I enjoy watching Ken Burns' documentaries. I refreshed my memory of Squanto shortly after commenting and it is unbelievable. What an exciting life he lived.
This picture doesn't tell the whole story. It's not showing those English people running away screaming at the sight of the naked boobies and burning their eyes out with hot coals.
