My brother, a conservative Marine, used the phrase, "God, guns, and guts" (not necessarily in that order). Also, many ancient religions celebrated combat prowess: Mithras, for example.

Isn't the whole first picture some sort of prank? I believe I have seen it somewhere recently with a caption that explained that it was made after some of the friends of the lady on the picture "complained" that her previous picture (made in support of Hobby Lobby ruling) missed a flag, a gun and a bible (presumably the things that a supporter of Hobby Lobby ruling should include in his pictures)?

And still - why do some people demonize guns? They are just tools. Its people who set goals.

Tools that make it very easy to kill other people. Not all tools are created equal. Saying they are "just tools" is ignoring the argument. Its like saying that pedophelia is "just an opinion" so why are people so upset abou tit?
