Sadly enough, I think this is what most people invision Plame's job like when she was 'outed'...or at least you'd think so with as much frenzy there is in the media over this 'story'...

They had to liquidate her cover company, this put anyone she worked with at risk, intelligence agencies around the world now have a lead to seal their leaks, permanently...

But no, its not important at all...

She wasnt 007, but our enemies are not "Dr. No" either. The cartoon isnt saying "omg spies are awesome" it is saying "Where will our ingelligence be if we cant get sources? In the same place bond would be if we told his enemies he was a spy"

She married a diplomat and got him sent on a high profile media mission, she told all her friends/family/neighbors that she worked for the CIA, many members of the media knew about her...but yeah...off with Rove's head for him saying "Yeah I heard that too"...

I can't wait for 2006...

And got him sent on a high profile media mission

Not only was it not high profile, she didnt send him. At least that was what the Senate Select Committee on Prewar Iraqi Intelligence said.

she told everyone, and the media knew about her

No one knew she was NOC. And i have yet to see any evidence other than "oh yea, i heard it from the media" for the whole "everyone knew" crap. Got some cite for people knowing before Novaks coloum?

Off with Rove's head for him saying "yeah i heard that too"..

Actualy, yes. See the statue in question amd the clearance NDA's also prohibits confirming the status of a CIA officer. So you dont get to do that either.

This is a big deal, we have compromised national security. We have compromised CIA assets. There is a reason that the CIA asked justice for an investigation.

She recommended him to a higher up and that's the only reason he got sent, end of story.

She was not NOC for at least 5 years prior to the 'leak'.

The statue in question does not mention non-undercover desk CIA agents.

No compromise of national security...this is a non-story. And I will be sure to laugh at anyone that thinks that this is.

lol, that's fairly ironic you calling anyone a dumbfuck...

If not for her recommendation, he would never have been chosen to go, end of story.

If the CIA was worried about her 'unmasking' putting people's lives in jeopardy, I don't think she would have lost her NOC status, been put on a desk job, married a diplomat and told many people she knew in her life that she was a CIA agent. Use that lump of flesh on your head for a change.

Read something other than DNC talking points, numbnuts, like I said, this is a non-story.

She was NOC in 1999. She listed the CIA cover company on her tax return as "employer"

Which happens to be within the time frame of 1998-2003, or within 5 years of the outing.

She was not NOC in 99, that was a very short mission as well.

Please explain why she was under the emply of a CIA cover company at the time?

And if that was a very short mission, then wouldnt that qualify?
