I am educated, agnostic with pagan leanings, too misanthropic to join the 'group think' and do not much care for politics (odd, being we're in a politically motivated forum). I just like to troll them.

Amusingly, I do not fit in with the left wing types for many of the same reasons. I am educated, but not enough (I think my two associates ought to count as a bachelors, but no one else believes me), I own fire arms, I think public assistance should be a crutch not a lifestyle. There is no nobility in the suffering of being poor.

I agree with almost everything here. Public assistance should be a crutch - which is a good reason to wean corporations off of welfare. Which they receive in amounts far exceeding any so-called lifestyle moochers.

If companies were people, I could see it. But Walmart should not be getting it. If you clear over a billion a year, do you NOT need welfare.

And besides direct corporate welfare and write-offs for companies that hide their money overseas, we have indirect subsidies in the form of things like Walmart workers qualifying for food stamps.

The extreme right wing solution to the latter? Getting rid of food stamps. We're closer to The Purge than we want to admit.

Just a few more reasons for wanting to move tot he hinterlands of Alaska and dig a hole for when the inevitable global collapse happens.

I wonder what would be more profitable, learning to speak Eskimo, Inuit or Russian. With the amount of military that is there, Korean or Japanese would be good, too.
