Why conservatives are suddenly terrified of revolution
"Warren is quite correct: It is the rich who have made war against the 99 percent, not the other way around. They have dumped the tax burden onto the rest of us. They have shredded our social safety net and attacked our retirements. In their insatiable greed, they refuse even to consider raising the minimum wage for people who toil all day and can’t earn enough to feed their children. And they do everything in their power to block as many people from the polls as possible who might protest these conditions, while crushing the unions and any other countervailing forces that could fight to improve them.

The goal of this vicious war is to control all of the wealth and the government not just in the U.S., but the rest of the world, too, and to make sure the people are kept in a state of fear.
"

Don't know what you mean by that.

When you desire to change a system, best to fully understand how and why that system you wish to change came to be.

Ok, so what is that you think I've ignored?

If Marijuana legalization is any indication, i.e. the domino effect it has caused in the legislation, then maybe starting at the local level is where we need to begin.

The overall goal would be to integrate the non-aggression principle into the legal frame work until it's on the federal level, i.e. an amendment to the US Constitution.

The logistics of getting from A to Z on that isn't exactly clear to me at this point. Better schools and a freely traded currency seem to be keys to getting this underway.

So, allowing something like the Liberty Dollar to be re-introduced into the market would be beneficial. And, also allowing an education market to thrive, i.e. instead of funding public schools, students enroll in a school which is paid with a voucher.

Cannabis legalization and decriminalization is wholey an example of statism in action. It needs to be removed from Schedule 1 IMO.

True, but I thought he meant statism as generic term:

I recall seeing an headline about the House telling DEA to stop going after medical marijuana. Or something along those lines.

Yes, that is the correct term.

You are talking state/fed, but I got the impression he is talking government/no government.

It's sad how many people use religion to justify their acts of aggression against others. This approach should help eliminate that as well.

6 states, iirc, still have laws on the books barring anyone from holding state office if they are atheists.

Those influences which gave rise to statism.

That belief is the underline influence.

You think people did it as an intellectual exercise?

No, the majority of people aren't self aware in this regard. It's a cultural norm we pass down from one generation to the next.

In short, we're breeding a culture of violence.

And yet our culture is less violent than any before it.

A signifiant proportion of people are selfish pricks who would step over their own grandmother to get ahead. I don't believe it's the majority, just enough to ensure that voluntaryism/anarchism can't work until we have a significant evolution of our species. That may be not that far off, perhaps it will be possible once we achieve cyborg status, which is the next 50 years or so.

Until then, it's just unicorns pooping marshmallows.
