LOL, next you're going to argue that we live in a country that has complete separation of church and state, right? Or that we don't have legislature/lack of legislature in which the only real basis is 'but the bible says'.
The Christian right can't have their cake and eat it too. They truly do act sanctimonious while simultaneously not only stepping on the poor but yelling at them for being poor in the first place.

There's no reason why one mightn't conclude, on the basis of their religious beliefs, that the government ought to be structured in a way that promotes economic justice, is there? So what entitles you to be so categorical and summary about it?
