So is the implication, then, that the so-called libertarians seeking to reform American governance are really just narrowly self-interested in gains to themselves, but are strategically willing to embrace noble-sounding ideals, in furtherance of such?
Considering the Founders rebelled for asshole reasons anyway (http://www.cracked.com/article_18442_5-reasons-founding-fathers-were-kind-dicks.html)...I pretty much think George had some justification for his irritation.
David McCullough's book on John Adams, in his research for his biography discovered documents that the British were planning on pardons for everyone (once they won), but there were three notable exceptions marked for public hangings, those were to be Washington and John and Samuel Adams.
