If they want to be grossed out by my porn viewing habits, well I don't consider it a very good use of tax dollars but I don't really care. Assuming our privacy is intact online has always seemed dubious. I know someone who was railing about access to cell phone data 15 years ago. Unless one has a text-based drug dealing service, shouldn't be an issue.
Well it's more than that; but I'm glad at least one federal judge has ruled it unconstitutional, and has allowed individuals to pursue legal action against the goverment for it.
Yes, that was the judge's ruling, to allow those suits to go forward because the surveillance is likely unconstitutional. But he stayed any action, pending further appeals.
