I think just the idea that a lot people were pissed off enough to do something revolutionary in every sense of the word is enough to force change. If not, then why were people so alarmed at the very idea of the Million Gun March?

I think you are referring to a right-wing organization, which is not
the kind of revolution that I think most of us have in mind.

We had a case here where a white private school boy was let off a custodial sentence because he wouldn't do well in jail. After glassing a guy no less.

It just seems so barbaric - and a fair number of people survive being shot. I'm also assuming that glassing attacks tend to target the face. That's nasty.

I saw a kid get cut by a beer bottle. Downward motion from the eye to the chin. Was pretty bad, you could see bone and cartilage. You could also feel the heat of the blood and smell the iron clearly. I forgot to keep breathing and blacked out a bit which prompted my friend to say, "boy, you're good in an emergency dude", when I came to. We got him to SF general and they patched him up best they could.
