Over a decade ago, my hometown declared eminent domain on a residential neighborhood to build a somewhat bigger Wal-Mart. Two previous Wal-Mart locations in the same neighborhood stood abandoned. One of those is pretty much wasteland now.

Haha, yeah - you know how we'll know there's a serious threat to unionize Walmart workers? We'll see a full-court press on FoxNews and in Congress to repeal the NLRA (i.e., the act empowering and protecting unions and organizing activity). Jeff's really ahead of the curve on this one. The issue is that there's actually really not any real drive among Wal-Mart workers to unionize. The unions want it, since that would result in a fairly massive new base to pull from. The hard left wants it, even though they're not even doing much to unionize for their own jobs, but as for the rest? The fact that Wal-Mart hasn't unionized yet even though the law has made it ridiculously easy to do so should tell us more than anything else.

You may know a specific person or two or five even, but that's hardly data, that's anecdotal at best.
