Congress is going to work six days in December, extending benefits is NOT on their TODO list, and then fly out to their families for three week vacation.
I hear my train a comin'. I have an interview next week. I have to nail it. If not I am taking my tent to my congressmans office.
I wont be posting come January if I don't land a gig and unemployment benefits are cut. Between health and insurance and rent, I'll be chosing between one or the other and internet will be luxury.
Wow, that's hard! It sounds like you have a good family situation (a cop thing) though, so that I trust the most basic essentials are always there for you, and that that will help you hold out until other opportunities come along. I wish I was in a position where I could offer a job, even something temporary, but I'm kind of on the margins myself. One cannot hope for much from this Congress.
The idea of folding up operations and showing up at his door with a wife and truckload of crap isn't appealing.
I am basically placing all my hope on the upcoming job interview. If I fail, then I will have to fall back on gardening or roofing, both of which are lean gigs in the winter.
