I'm on a big create new traditions kick at the moment. Traditions are important, especially in families. This realisation is what got me over being anti-Christmas (the Minchin song helped a bit too), but rather than buy in to all the Christian and consumer traditions that I still thoroughly reject I decided to make up my own.
