Also, it's worth checking out the rest of the 90s cartoon characters who were radicalized (http://www.blackgirldangerous.org/2013/09/24/unfit-for-product-placement-radicalizing-the-cartoon-characters-of-our-childhoods/) by McKenzie, Salgado, and Vasquez.
Without the context, it seemed like some weird form of fan fiction where the author was pushing their politics onto fictional characters. In context, it makes sense why someone was creating this alternative future for the characters.
