Although his tactics are off, he does have a point about the UN arms treaty. We're signing an arms treaty to limit the export of weapons yet we have no problem sending high-powered rifles to Mexican drug cartels and God knows what to jihadists all over the globe.

His opposition to the treaty comes more from a desire to let everyone buy and sell as many weapons of whatever kind whenever they want, which I think is pretty batshit geopolitics. But really, its the big ones that we have already bought, paid for, built, and have at the ready that top my global weapons concern list.

Nope, he's not. He's thick with the town council and I'll bet that almost all of the nearly 800 citizens of the town are solidly behind him. His boss even said that what he does on "his own time" is none of their business. Of course, by naming his channel "Chief Mark Kessler" he has clearly identified himself as a public servant in law enforcement who is advocating shooting people for their political views, but, whatever.

Rural PA is a weird place. It wants to be Texas so bad you can just see the tears flowing down the Susquehanna until they reach Harrisburg.
