What gets me is theists complaining atheists tolerate Islam and hate Xtainity. Hello! Theists buy into the entire monotheism part, and atheists are the ones propping up Islam?
The moderate enables the radical. Radicals use their faith to justify the most nefarious of acts, and moderates keep telling them they've only got it partly wrong.
The frustration for the atheist is to have to see that Christian fundamentalists suffer essentially the same problem of the Islamist fundamentalists, and to have to watch these Christian fundamentalists jump on board when it comes to pouncing on Islamist fundamentalism. It's kind of funny in a despairing, hopeless sort of way. For the Christian fundamentalist, it is a matter of having the basic sense of seeing the one true God, the right one, and of course Islamist fundamentalists feel the same way. What is an atheist to do?, except feel that the world is crazy.
