I take it Perry's calling another special session right away. We may as well enjoy this moment while we have it.

Yup. 30 day special session, starts July 1st, *only* to consider removing women's rights and imprisoning minors.

You just can't beat the kind of faith that Governor Perry has. His twisted truth keeps marching on.

We can and will beat it.

Are there any plans in place to fight against this push?

I was just watching the Rachel Maddow show, and I gather that they are just going to try to repeat what they accomplished. I don't think there is any way they can get lightning to strike twice. They will find a way to cut off any filibuster, and they will be sure to do it earlier.

That was a great segment on Rachel Maddow.

I missed it, but I'm hoping to catch the repeat in 15 minutes.

If there is, I'm not expecting to hear about it for another day. I imagine everyone who was at the filibuster is crashing hard today and it probably won't register until tomorrow.

Amazing, but my first thought was:

"Who's driving? Oh my god bear is driving how can that be?"

Yep! Had a friend who had the whole series on DVD. It was certainly... unique.

Ann Richards, you say?

Now there was a great governor.

That was the first time I voted in State & Federal elections - helping Ann get elected made me feel very good, especially when she was running against some chucklehead who tried to make a rape joke during the campaign.

Then I left Texas, good move.

Ah, yes. Clayton Williams. "Chucklehead" does not do him justice

I love that her daughter Cecile (who is president of Planned Parenthood) was actually there to see it.
