Yes. I hate Bloomberg and liberal nanny-statism but I would think there are way more serious violations of liberties that so-called conservatives should be getting their dander up about than some law about how much sugar water you can buy at a time in NYC

It's frustrating. I don't like it in either party. It's really nothing more than pandering to the 'I'm superior to you' attitude in people and legislating it. The nature of the laws sway with the attitudes of society and encourage the worst mob-like behaviors in people.

I agree! However, this is a great, easy-to-understand entry point to more serious infractions. It hits people where they understand, as opposed to a more abstract principle that seems too far away.
