What a dick. "Riding" manatees causes severe stress to the animal, hell, even feeding them or petting them can cause them to lose their natural fear of humans and move into cooler waters than they are natural to, which causes distress to their body functions, such as digestion. They're already an endangered species, and self-absorbed humans doing dumb shit like that are asshats.
That being said, I remember when this was a big deal with Florida teabaggers a few years ago (I'm assuming that's where the headline in the image is coming from), how they were raging against federal protections for endangered species because putting "nature above humans" is against the bible or some such bullshit. Never mind the fact that in Genesis god charged humans with caring for the animals and the planet. (Not that I believe any of that rubbish, but they're the ones who brought it up.) Because obviously riding around on some boat in some bay is more important than ecosystems.
Did you see the video of some woman in San Diego kicking pregnant seals? A surveillance camera caught it. Link here. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2281755/Seal-Cam-horror-women-filmed-cruelly-kicking-abusing-pregnant-harbor-seals-night-San-Diego.html)
Abusing animals is a sign of a disturbed individual in need of therapy.
Wait, that's La Jolla? I went snorkeling there. Those spoiled rich fucks are hurting the most beautiful thing about their smelly little town. I hope they are seriously disciplined and outed now.
The bible is fairly clear about the task of stewardship falling upon all of us. But to appeal to that logic is a losing spiral tumble, as the whole biz is about separating man from nature, denying evolution, etc, etc.
Do virus's have religions that prevent them from harming their hosts?
Anyway, those women are disturbed individuals who need therapy. And I wish I could have stopped them.
i'm not exactly sure what he means by "open a business" but i sure do hope the government prevents him from doing so..... just imagine if you had a startup or small business and you went in one morning to find out this jackass has "opened" it....
