Some of em gotta recognize this as a problem...few, perhaps, but some.

Some of them certainly do. This retired Chief (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2063351/Retired-police-chief-arrested-uniform-Occupy-Wall-Street-demo-branding-fellow-officers-obnoxious-arrogant-ignorant.html) was arrested at least twice. And I've seen photos of police in the UK holding signs that say "I side with the people". But most of them are just blind-order-following, hierarchic-authority-loving thugs. That's why they were hired in the first place.
