Why is there so much focus on Iran and North Korea? Iran has a perfectly sound record on human rights compared to some countries we actively support (for example, Uzbekistan) and North Korea has had famine and vicious flooding for over ten years, all they have is a tin-pot dictator who isn't going to do shit.

The scope of human-rights violations in North Korea is comparable to Saddam Hussein's regime or the early days of the Holocaust. Just because he's laying low doesn't mean he's benign.

Another supranational organization will supercede it in the coming years, possibly the G-20.

Sure they are. Egypt has an authoritarian regime. The government doesn't much care what you do, as long as you don't do or say anything to cross them.

North Korea is a totalitarian regime. They actively seek to control their population's thoughts.
