Abortion Debate

This is the first time I have seen this right-wing spin on the abortion debate. Supposedly, it is a myth that there were a lot of deaths by self-induced abortions in the days before Roe v. Wade. Indeed, women have suffered more deaths since Roe during legal abortions. I'm not expert enough to know that this is wrong and false. They cite studies, after all. Can some of you debunk this?
