If people go bankrupt because they have insurance.. why bother? Or do the companies pull a cell phone contract and charge you for pulling out? I'll never get insurance. There seems to be no good reason whatsoever.

Not everyone goes bankrupt because they have insurance, and in the majority of cases it's very useful.

I have been to the hospital thank you very much. I can't afford insurance. If you pay the hospital $50 a month they won't care. Much cheaper.

Ah well I guess it would suck if you have credit to watch out for. I'm sure mine's already down the shitter from one measly credit card. I guess I've just given up on caring about my hospital bills since it's not like I have money to worry about now anyways. Maybe when I get a job I can worry about my bills again. Until then I'll just say "fuck you".

Good thing I don't drive :D

I feel bad for everyone else. I've given up on mine.

how will that happen, exactly?

health insurance companies are the backbone of America?

You'd think that it would be in the economy's best interests to have healthy people, since they tend to do things like be more productive, since they're not preoccupied with being sick.

1] everyone will be required to have health care insurance.

2] everyone who goes bankrupt from medical bills will have health insurance.

3] everyone = 100 percent.

If you got a system that worked, no one would go bankrupt from medical bills. However, with all the concessions made to the republicans, I doubt that you're going to end up with something that's actually better than what you have now.

1) everyone is required to pay taxes for ER service for anyone whocant afford it already. Is it worse to pay for insurance that would work to reduce the need to pay for things only when they get critical, especially since ER visits are more expensive than prevenative things?

2) as a direct result of paying for healthcare bills?

3) ?

Do I believe something will fix everything? No, I never believe that something will fix everything. But if that sometime makes things better than what they currently are, I am okay with something being put in place, even if it does not completely fix everything.
