I need a political icon or two.

I don't 'love' him because he's black. I don't love people for race.

I like him because I firmly believe he is better for this country than McCain. I believe he will do good for the minorities in this country, and for women. Some of his policies may not be the best, but he means well, more than BUSH ever did.

And just how much are good intentions worth? Because I heard this crap when Bush was president as well. I didn't like it then either.

Question your leadership. If the answers are right, then great, cooperate, but don't give them a buy because "They really care" or "they mean well."

It's what they do that counts. The rest is all image.

George Bush wished he could articulate a sentence that good.

That's an old one, but the subject is a notorious jackass for at least forty years.

You mean something more liberal? No, I don't.

Not more liberal, more frontal lobe. Something about a 2nd grade level would be a nice upgrade.

That would be against this community's traditions. I don't remember anything here that would fit your requirements.

Its just that merely replacing the donkey's ass with X is knuckledraggingly childish.

Yeah, and rest of cartoons here are really mature and very clever.

At least this one is made by a guy who can draw. You don't see it often here.

I'm talking about the dumb cartoon you posted, not the other stupid ones.

a guy who can draw

Oh. I see.

Are you sure you're in right community? It's about political cartoons. They all are dumb, childish and downright stupid. When the cartoon illustrates a talking point that some people like, those people like the cartoon as well, no matter how dumb it is. So if you want "something better", go look somewhere else.

Oh yes, I'm in the right community. They are not all dumb, and I'm not talking about those anyway, I'm talking about the lame one you posted.

In other words, you like some of those talking points. And don't like this one.

yeah, cause it's not like he's a respected statesman the world over, or puts his money where his mouth is or nothing.

Also, you know. He's fucking right.

He's quite far from being a respected statesman the world over. Except, of course, among his clients, equally respected organizations like HAMAS. And he is wrong now, as usual. Rare case when I agree with Obama.

here's a hint -- Obama doesn't really agree with you.

Oh, hints! Thank you, my intellectual friend. I appreciate it. Now, how's your auto-hypnosis exercises? Any effect yet?

you seem to be far ahead of me. And I'm not your friend.

From: [identity profile] chasovschik.livejournal.com
Sure you are not. I know. You are neither my friend, nor intellectual. It was just a figure of speech. Sorry about that.

Or this discussion will become uncivil? LOL. Why don't you guys apologize to all pols you've been diligently insulting here? Just to show me how real gentlemen should behave.

Obama got elected on due to a cult of personality. Much like Reagan got elected due to a cult of personality. When that happens, and it's not "your guy", you get defensive and antagonistic very quickly.

I believe this.

I also find it interesting that the Republicans helped create this by making Hillary Clinton such damaged goods.
