my view on Obama's teleprompter is about the same as on Bush's use of English language

But... it's a BAD joke. Bush DID butcher the english language. Obama doesn't rely on a teleprompter any more than other presidents have. Were I to make something up about someone, then have everyone suddenly act like it was the best joke in the world, you'd think we were all deraged... not funny.

I guess I am used to butchery of language by politicians since my childhood and go not by speeches, but by message itself as well as by actual action taken.

That's a legitimate point. I didn't much care that he didn't talk like a great orator, but I did find Bush's condescending, "Don'tcha get it?" attitude to be repellent.

And that smirk. I remember in 2000, in the early part of the election, it was affecting his numbers, and Rove had to tell him to knock it off.
