considering that what you just said there was the (yes, somewhat subtle) point the cartoon was making, i would say that the cartoon is rather accurate.

I think that's kind of the point of the cartoon - the banker is standing in the wreckage of his own institution and complaining about a paycut for the guys most responsible for the destruction.
