The GOP has many, many better candidates. But nobody has heard about them because they're moderates and the Republican party won't let them get any press.

The day the GOP realizes that a moderate candidate will actually win the race and jettisons their ties to the ultra-right wing is the day I'll once again be proud to call myself a Republican.

Yeah, after eight "wonderful" years of Bush, this is exactly what we need as president - a egomaniacal, badly flawed, addicted buffoon!

For the record, the last radio station I worked at in Kansas City, was KMBZ, which I left in early 1990. Rush had worked there a couple years earlier.

Nobody that the station had anything good to say about him. Most said he was the most insecure person they had ever met - in the radio biz or otherwise.

I only met him once, back when he was doing P.R. for the Kansas City Royals baseball team. All I remember about this encounter was that he was pretty fat and he was wearing some plaid slacks - that were louder than he was - with a white belt.

If all you know about him is what he's said about himself, you need to read The Rush Limbaugh Story: Talent on Loan from God : An Unauthorized Biography by Paul Colford. Most libraries have it or you can get it on Amazon.com.
