Ominous Situation To Be In

I received a lot of flak from certain members of the livejournal community for my earlier posting titled "Personally I prefer to eat cupcakes". But in light of the current political situation in the Mideast, which is depicted in my image "It Must Have Been an Interesting Discussion", I thought to create another interpretation of the Mideast situation that draws upon the "messages" of both of those earlier images. As I mentioned in an earlier discussion, I display my "sardonic" sense of humor in my imagery.
Guns, girls, and ice cream

If I understand correctly, they're in the Israel Defense Force. A comment from the linked site by "Daniel in Brookline":
Sure, they're out of uniform. Israeli soldiers are not required to wear the uniform when off-base and off-duty -- at least, they weren't when I served, twenty years ago -- and they had to go off-base to buy ice cream, didn't they?
On the other hand, many IDF units do have strict regulations about carrying your weapon at all times. I have to wonder about the young woman in the middle -- her M-16 actually has the magazine in, which you're not supposed to do in metropolitan areas.
They look like nice ladies. Don't piss them off.

Israeli Hate Literature for Children
A father says: "It is really astounding to see to what extent these books hold the children spellbound. In these books there are sadistic horror descriptions, detailed descriptions of cruel treatment and offensive caricatures of the Arabs who are described as wretched cowards. But I can not succeed in preventing the children from reading them. They are totally hypnotized. Why is there a standard for clothes, for articles, for food and for everything else — and no control over children's books? Why can anyone earn money by producing this poison, and even municipal libraries buy it?"
