Everyone knows John McCain called his wife a cunt two decades ago. Most people don't care and those that did are over it. Please post something new. Preferably with a completely different style, subject, and author.

My understanding is that McCain made the "cunt" comment in front of the press. I doubt it was a press conference or with cameras present since there's no youtube version of it, but probably in front of a reporter during an interview or something. While saying something like that in front of anyone, let alone the press, is pretty moronic, I too beleive this is a non-issue and am tired o...aw hell, I'm so tired of it I can't even finish this post.

This is more likely to make me think better of McCain than otherwise (which is not my default position).

Quite fond of some of those quotes. 'Janet Reno'....LMAO.

(Still wouldn't recommend anyone vote for him though - but a career in Standup....well, I'd pay good money to see him insult folk.)

I could really get behind a president who's that consistently funny. Go McCain!

Excellent post. McCain doesn't respect women and women need to be aware of it.

Read the quotes. Also, he opposes a woman's right to choose.

You think his private life is no reflection of his character. And you don't think his character has any bearing on whether he would be a good president.

When his wife became crippled he started screwing around looking for a better deal and remarried a trophy wife one month after the divorce became final.

Maybe part of the deal that he made with his original old crippled wife was that she could not bad mouth him or he'd cut off her medical benefits.

Ross Perot says it best:

"But Ross Perot, who paid her medical bills all those years ago, now believes that both Carol McCain and the American people have been taken in by a man who is unusually slick and cruel – even by the standards of modern politics.

‘McCain is the classic opportunist. He’s always reaching for attention and glory,’ he said.

‘After he came home, Carol walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona. And the rest is history.’

Some of McCain’s acquaintances are less forgiving, however. They portray the politician as a self-centered womaniser who effectively abandoned his crippled wife to ‘play the field’. They accuse him of finally settling on Cindy, a former rodeo beauty queen, for financial reasons.

McCain was then earning little more than £25,000 a year as a naval officer, while his new father-in-law, Jim Hensley, was a multi-millionaire who had impeccable political connections.

He's trash.

By the way, what's the Rick Astley connection?

Ditto for the "kids get off my lawn" reference which has appeared here twice now.
