Potentially, she could bring one thing to the table. A major step towards universal health care. More then that, I have sever issues with her (example: see her vote on the cluster bomb ban, basically, as close to a no-brainer bill as I have ever seen).
Well, Barack mostly agrees with her about healthcare. Everybody should have it. But his beef is that Everybody should be able to afford it. Whereas Hill is like "it will be illegal to not have insurance." So I don't think healthcare is necessarily that badly endangered without her.
Plus, Barack is smart; if he doesn't take her for VP, he may very well find some other important position for her.
