All it needs is for the folks with the microphones to have nametags that say "Fox News," "NewsMax," "Powerline Blog," or other right-wing nut-job media outlet. Then it would be as accurate as it would be true.
Overall, though, this is just not funny nor creative.
"Asked who they voted for in the past election, the journalists reported picking Kerry over Bush by 68% to 25%. In this sample of 300 journalists, from both newspapers and TV, Democrats outnumbered Republicans by 3 to 1 -- but about half claim to be Independent. As in previous polls, a majority (53%) called their political orientation "moderate," versus 28% liberal and 10% conservative."

The media is on a whole biased to the left so please get your facts right before you talk.
You know, I had this math professor once who was soooo unbelievably biased. He would tolerate only correct answers. Any time I tried to lie and make shit up, he'd mark it wrong. Frickin' biased prick!
I think we kind of have to include them among the "media" since they provide information and images broadcast to a large audience. You can call them "right-wing media", "new media", whatever. I just wouldn't call them the "press," "journalists," or the "news" since they follow no norms of journalistic ethics or integrity.
But this was my point way up at the top. The cartoon is flawed if we are to think the interviewers are reporters from reputable news organizations. They sound more like the Rush Limbaugh group to which you referred.

Date: 2008-03-06 07:11 pm (UTC)Obama finally gets some bad press and his supporters run around like it's the first time it's happened to a politician.
Of course, given how many say that they haven't been interested in politics before, it would appear that inexperience runs across the camp...
