Wow, you have a way of simplifying a comic to its most proposterous meaning for effect and reaction. I don't think this comic was trying to compare mexican immigration of today to european immigration of yesterday, but making the point that either we all belong or none of us belong.

As for this either we all belong or we all don't belong, thats crap. I live in a world of laws. Legal immigration is perfectly fine, I encourage it. Illegal immigration is breaking the law. Now if you don't like the law, thats fine, try to get it changed, but while its the law it stands for everyone equally. Thats the point most people are missing.

Oh man, my Irish Grandpa had what the boyos called 'a thirst', but alas it didn't make him write or speechify. That's what the Irish are really good at, from Swift through to Beckett, and many, many, in-between. Blarney is, after all, named after a town in Co. Cork.
However, after a drink or two they tended to fight their traditional enemies; the other Irish: and the stupid English always ended up taking sides. (The sensible English tried to stay out of the quarrel - not always possible, dammit, when we're often led by the stupid.)
