You know you missed him. Given the events of the last few weeks, I was curious what our former favorite third world antisemetic cartoonist was drawing. Given his past, I figured there would be innocent looking, doe eyed children with menacing Israeli soldiers killing them. Here's his latest one, and not suprisingly, I wasn't far off in my prediction.

Anti-Isreal =/= Anti-Semitic.

The assertion that legitimate attacks against isreali actions (like this cartoon) are anti-semitic drives anti-semitism, and dillutes attacks against real anti-semitism.

the term anti-semetic is useless when used talking about Arabs - technically they are semetic as well as us Jews. yes being against Israel's actions doesn't mean you are against all Jews - but there is a fine line. Many people don't mind you being Jewish but if you care for Israel or are Israeli's they are sooo different - or even if you are Jew in the way you actually keep shabat or things - because that is a seperating factor that makes people think we believe we are better. So sure people don't mind Jews - as long as they aren't Jew-ie Jews, as long as they do as America has taught and forget their identiy and just be Ameicans (which I guess is okay but not my way - just the way of my family).

And yet no one cries when bomb after bomb goes off goes off in Israel, or when rockets are fired from neighboring countries, or soldiers kidnapped from wihin their own boarders. Where is the outrage then when Jewish children die on buses and in the streets after being the victim of bombings and rocket strikes?

Does anyone ever stop to think what the middle east might be like if Isreal was just left alone for a while without being provoked or attacked?

The Middle East is easy to understand:

- The Arabs hate Israel because it was given their land.
- Israel hates the Arabs because they were given land legally and attacked for actually occupying their legal land.
- The West doesn't understand why both sides just can't "get along". They support Israel because Britain owned the land and gave it to the Jews. They don't support the Arabs because what they are doing is illegal. But they hate Israel's policies and xenophobia, and sympathize with the plight of those that fight against a monolithic government.

People will continue to die in the Middle East until:
- Israel kills all of the Arabs.
- The Arabs kill all of the Israelis.
- The West kills both of them.

There. Now we can stop having this argument.
