Proudly served and I'll be taking time out this weekend to remember my family members who went, and didn't come back as well as all my fellow Sailors. The real hero's.
Sadly, the city that I live in now doesn't celebrate in any way whatsoever. No parades, speeches, or rallies. The small town I came from used to have a parade followed by speeches from Veterans and elected officials on the meaning of sacrifice, honor, and all those other great virtues.
