Hmm, legal drugs that he was using so that he could deal with the pain enough to continue on with his #1 rated radio program is quite a bit different than dope heads.
But you keep up with that spin.
p.s. Yeah that had a lot to do with his ACLU lawyer, and not the fact that he wasn't actually guilty of anything.
It's no different from college kids taking adderal to study for exams. In both cases they're legal drugs, but when taken illegally, it doesn't matter (according to the law, not to me).
From the Miami Herald on Tue, May 2nd: "Prosecutors accused him of illegally deceiving multiple doctors to receive overlapping prescriptions, a practice known as doctor shopping. After seizing his medical records, authorities learned Limbaugh received up to 2,000 painkillers, prescribed by four doctors, in six months."
He's guilty of scamming pills from doctors, but I could care less about how many drugs Limbaugh has taken. His comments on drug addicts are inconsistent and hypocritical. The cartoon just points out that his fans are dumb enough not to notice.
Supposedly he illegally got only 40 of those though, big friggin whoop. Also, doctor patient records are confidential...Rush should sue the bastard for violating his rights.
So he wasn't addicted at all? He spent thirty days in treament for abusing a controled substance, a substance he broke the law in obtaining. So, regarless if the substance is legal or not, he still abused it, something he condemmed others for doing.
Yeah, those drugs are legal, if you have a prescription, which he didnt, but it's okay because he has a radio show to run and OH GOD IF I DONT HAVE MY PRECIOUS RUSH LIMBAUGH SHOW I JUST MIGHT HAVE TO DEAL WITH REALITY.
I am in no way representative of the "normal" teen population. Most of the people I know are too busy watching MTV and they tell me to shut up when I start talking politics.
My Dad was the biggest "Dittohead" I could find in the 90's. When this all hit I asked Mom how he felt about this, plus the multiple divorces (since Dad was big on the "family values" and all) and she mentioned that he had dropped his subscription quite a while ago and was rather put off with the guy.
At least he finally saw the discrepency and quit following what he didn't believe in. Most people will keep blindly following someone they once agreed with, even if they hypocritically fly in the face of all they preach.
