The odds are at least 100,000,000,000,000,000 to one. (One hundred million billion to one.)
An actuary of the London Sunday Times worked out that figure after witnesses in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy died within four years of his death.

Well, I'm not exactly innocent in that regard. Now that involvement in the government's activities seems to me to be more necessary than it's ever been, I've been trying to remedy that.
Honestly, though, I can only handle a little at a time. (Much as I enjoy it here, I've had to stay away for long periods since the election to keep my sanity.)

those are some profound quotes, took me a while to get my head around the second one.
maybe another way to say it might be that "we attract what we need, and if we don't learn the lesson the first time, it comes around on the guitar for the next generation to cope with.."

jack is wacky. i liked him as the president in mars attacks. i thought he was a perfect metaphor..
